摘要: The selection of an adequate friction model is important aspect inthe finite element modeling machining. Previously, different modelshave been compared, but the influence constitutive or theworkpiece material have not considered. This article focuses on theinfluence and evaluation thefriction in Numerical experiments are performed threedifferent materials using models. For every combinationof model, several simulations Coulombcoefficients, same cutting parameters, performed. Several variablesare evaluated: force, shear plane angle, chip-tool contact length, maximum temperature maximum stress. results reveal that workpiecematerial plays role model. Theyalso show there significant from models oncontact length, curvature ratio chip thickness.
