摘要: : Infestation rate of Dioryctria sylvestrella was studied for the following three categories maritime pine: (i) those trees that had been selected pruning and pruned; (ii) but not neither nor pruned. In comparing 10 diameter classes 4 dates pruning, percentage attacked recorded. both pruned unpruned trees, level attack increased with tree diameter, according to a logistic curve. Pruned were significantly more infested than trees. Selection did result in significant higher The differ date pruning. interaction between type induce any difference infestation rate. model infestation, involving primary attraction female moth, strengthened. Volatile attractants, originating constitutive oleoresin, might allow selection susceptible Tree creating bark wounds, vigour, increasing cracking, could similarly, though independently, increase resin flow, thus enhancing attractiveness.
