摘要: Objective Characterize the social profile and need of information from patients with refractory epilepsy. Method A semi-structured questionnaire was applied to 103 investigate sociodemographic aspects, pharmacotherapy any doubts about Results Patients were highly dependent on having a free accessible supply antiepileptic drugs. Sixty-eight percent population unemployed, 26% confirmed receiving security benefits due Twenty-nine reached high school. Eighty-five had at least one doubt epilepsy; treatment epilepsy aspects in general main topics. Conclusion : As observed developed countries, developing country also have rates unemployment low educational levels. The results raise concern by their families, urging necessity invest strategies solve this deficiency knowledge.
