摘要: The concept of sustainable tourism emerged as a reaction to the impacts development. This paper shows relevance decline and rising interest in de-growth. Mixed-methods research Isle Man, UK, was carried out by analysing 355 postal questionnaires sent randomly selected island households, conducting 32 in-depth personal interviews. revealed series negative environmental social consequences small island. Such are found occur despite successful local diversification into other industries, notably offshore finance.
