摘要: This work presents a comprehensive set of experimental results on the water entry compliant cylindrical shells. Free fall experiments are conducted flexible thin cylinder varying drop height. The problem studied here is not representative free as this hold by sledge, which acts concentrated mass. impact dynamics analyzed from accelerometers, linear position sensors, and through analysis high speed images. Further, an methodology based modal decomposition method developed utilized to reconstruct overall structural deformation distributed strain field base local measurements. Fiber Bragg gratings for purpose. Results show that flexibility structure plays important role dynamics, found completely differ rigid structures. shell follows first mode shape vibration ring, while stresses influenced superposition higher shapes excited during impact.
