摘要: Plasma or serum from 4 patients with acute chronic non-A, non-B post-transfusion hepatitis (P.T.H.) and a blood-donor implicated in two cases of P.T.H. was inoculated into 5 chimpanzees. Biochemical histological evidence developed these chimpanzees but not control animal. The mean incubation period the 13.4 weeks, compared 7.7 weeks peak alanine aminotransferase (A.L.T.) levels were 265, 212, 219, 70, 62 I.U./l. Histological changes ranged mild to conspicuous generally correlated degree A.L.T. elevation. There no clinical disease all animals went on biochemical recovery. serological type A B hepatitis. Hepatitis transmitted by derived as well hepatitis, strongly suggesting carrier state for agent responsible Non-A, thus seems be due transmissible which can persist remain infectious long periods.
