Multilingual-multi script place name information system for web mapping in Xinjiang China

摘要: Since Xinjian is a very attractive place in China, it essential that the people visiting (tourists, businessmen, etc.) can obtain accurate and detailed information about its local language(s). The multilingual-Multi Script name database – targeting both global users constructed to satisfy this need. This paper describes development of Multilingual-Multi Place Name Information System for Web Mapping Xinjiang, with aim creating regional map service through Internet. Describing geographical language subsequently sharing data worldwide demands elaborate testing each element web all languages writing scripts used region; Uyghur, Chinese, Russian English case. In addition different scripts, website also allows correct pronunciation one improve communication region. Voice recordings names Uyghur Chinese are stored multimedia linked achieve service. Currently, still prototype-phase tested extensively ensure flexibility stability.
