摘要: The light- and electron-microscopic features histochemical characterization of three consecutive cases malignant histiocytosis (MH) are reported. Each case demonstrated involvement lymph nodes bone marrow. In the node, characteristic destructive sinusoidal pattern by cytologically cells was present. Phagocytosis rare most readily appreciated in imprint preparations. major problem differential diagnosis related to defining histiocytic nature cells. This question resolved demonstration diffuse cytoplasmic staining with nonspecific esterase acid phosphatase reactions as well ultrastructural histiocytes. Although benign, reactive histiocytes were positive, did not stain for lysozyme an immunoperoxidase technique. contrast uniform appearance these cases, many reports MH past have consisted heterogeneous variable histologic appearances from a proliferation predominantly mature marked phagocytosis little apparent functional activity. variation is due part inclusion proliferations, including recently described virus-associated hemophagocytic syndrome.
