摘要: The major sources of energy dissipation, lateral deformation, and base shear in steel frames with partially restrained (PR) connections subjected to seismic loading are analytically studied. analytical study confirms, general, the behavior observed during experimental investigation: PR reduce overall stiffness frames, but add a source dissipation. It is observed, that maximum total may significantly increase as connection increases. top displacement does not always decrease stiffness. response under earthquake largely depends on dynamic characteristics both structure excitation. Proper consideration other properties essential predict behavior, no matter how difficult analysis procedure becomes.
