Direct numerical simulation of flame/spontaneous ignition interaction fueled with hydrogen under SACI engine conditions

摘要: In spark assisted homogeneous charge compression ignition (SACI) engines a premixed flame is first established; the propagating results in heating of end gas and finally auto-ignition gas. Two dimensional direct numerical simulation (2D DNS) one (1D) detailed simulations flame/spontaneous interaction lean hydrogen/air mixture under constant volume enclosure relevant to SACI engine conditions are performed using chemistry transport properties. 2D outward spherical flame, thermal-diffusive instability observed once starts low temperature region preheat zone formed. Subsequently, suppressed. Then 1D flame/ignition interactions H2/air, syngas/air methane/air mixtures studied simulations. The reveal that due preferential diffusion hydrogen, heat mass transfer inhibits process, yielding slower reaction rate hence an even lower region.
