摘要: Sub-Saharan Africa saw the first introduction of antiretroviral (ARV) drugs in an organized manner at Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) Uganda as early 1992 when it conducted ART trial Africa. By June 2002 there were 16 commercially available medications (WHO, 2002) and JCRC is following biggest number patients on ARVs rest (Mugyenyi, 2003). The goals are to prevent immunological decline clinical progression so doing prolong survival improve quality life by suppressing viral load for long possible.
