Diffraction‐grating‐enhanced light emission from tunnel junctions

摘要: We report the observation of highly polarized, angle‐tunable visible light emission from Al‐AlOx‐Ag tunnel junctions fabricated on holographic gratings. From angular dependence frequency we identify electromagnetic mode responsible for emission. The is surface plasmonlike with a dispersion that closely follows line. This in contrast to much lower phase velocity ’’junction’’ believed surface‐roughened junctions. argue both modes should be considered describing these devices.
