摘要: A micropterous female embolemid is recorded in middle Eocene Baltic amber. Embolemus excitus Perrichot and Engel, sp. nov., easily distinguished from other extinct living species by the pronotum with only a weak mediolongitudinal furrow lateral carina along edge anterior to tegula, mesopleuron pronounced medial dorsoventral carina, propodeum dorsoposterior corners tuberculate. The new also uniquely combines greatly reduced compound eyes, scape distinctly elongate, twice as long mesoscutum, forewings extending at most border of second metasomal tergum.
