摘要: Cancer therapy is mainly based on different combinations of surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. Additionally, targeted therapies (designed to disrupt specific tumor hallmarks, such as angiogenesis, metabolism, proliferation, invasiveness, immune evasion), hormonotherapy, immunotherapy, interventional techniques have emerged alternative oncologic treatments. Conventional imaging current response criteria do not always provide the necessary information regarding success particularly therapies. In this setting, MR offers an attractive combination anatomic, physiologic, molecular information, which may surpass these limitations, being increasingly used for assessment.
