摘要: Development of safe and efficacious vaccines whose potency is unaffected by long-term storage at ambient temperature would obviate major vaccine deployment hurdles limit wastage associated with breaks in the cold chain. Here, we evaluated immunogenicity a novel chimpanzee adenovirus vectored Rift Valley Fever (ChAdOx1-GnGc) cattle, following its thermostabilisation slow desiccation on glass fiber membranes non-reducing sugars trehalose sucrose. Thermostabilised ChAdOx1-GnGc stored for 6 months 25, 37 or 45 °C elicited comparable virus neutralising antibody titres to those ‘cold chain’ (stored −80 °C throughout) same dose, these were within range protection against cattle. The results support use sugar-membrane thermostabilised target livestock species.
