摘要: Burbot (Lota lota maculosa) are a potential new species for commercial aquaculture. As burbot culture expands, there is need to further define pathogen susceptibility and characterize aspects of the immune response in an effort assess fish health. A recent clinical diagnostic case from juvenile reared at production facility resulted isolation identification Flavobacterium columnare along with several Aeromonas spp. The F. isolate was assigned genetic group 1 via multiplex PCR, commonly associated columnaris disease cases rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Virulence assessed vivo both trout. Additionally, sp. isolates were identified sequencing (16S rRNA, gyrB rpoD) putative A. sobria (BI-3) used challenge burbot, known virulent (A141), but BI-3 not found be virulent. refractory when challenged by immersion, it likely that this secondary burbot.
