摘要: In the Netherlands energy consumption of new buildings is subject to performance based legislation, on Energy Performance Coefficient (EPC). The norm has been compulsory for almost 15 years, but only three surveys, one them by authors, were conducted assess its effectiveness reduce actual use. research described in this paper statistical analysis several national databases and processing samples dwellings representative build after 1995. Although consecutive strengthening’s had no significant effect, introduction regulation itself an effect A correlation was also found between use expected calculated according regulation. This heating represents component EPC calculations seems be counteracted other factors used calculate EPC-level. addition we that characteristics building equipment together with household occupant behaviour explain up 42% variation could indicate most are not realized as they designed it more efficient ensure a correct realization performances than tighten level further.
