摘要: There is no current consensus on the taxonomy of different forms idiopathic orofacial pain (stomatodynia, atypical odontalgia, facial pain, arthromyalgia), which are sometimes considered as separate entities and grouped together. In present prospective multicentric study, we used a systematic approach to help place these painful syndromes in general classification chronic pain. This multicenter study was carried out 245 consecutive patients presenting with (>4 months duration). Each patient seen by two experts who proposed diagnosis, administered 111-item questionnaire filled standardized 68-item examination form. Statistical processing included univariate analysis several multidimensional analysis. Migraines (n=37), tension-type headache (n=26), post-traumatic neuralgia (n=20) trigeminal (n=13) tended cluster independently. When signs symptoms describing topographic features were not list variables, single group. Inside this large cluster, only stomatodynia (n=42) emerged distinct homogenous subgroup. contrast, arthromyalgia (n=46) an entity formed (n=25) odontalgia could be individualised variables reflecting topographical characteristics. These data provide grounds for evidence-based indicate that sub-classification relies primarily topography symptoms.
