Word Grouping in Document Images Based on Voronoi Tessellation

摘要: Voronoi tessellation of image elements provides an intuitive and appealing definition proximity, which has been suggested as effective tool for the description relations among neighboring objects in a digital image. In this paper, based method is presented word grouping document images. The neighborhoods are generated from tessellation, with information about distances connected components, on carried out. proposed evaluated variety experimental results show that it achieved promising high accuracy, robust to various font types, styles, sizes, skew angles, well different text orientations.
