Connectivity-based clustering with stretching technique in MANETs

摘要: In this paper, we propose a multi-hop stretching clustering scheme for MANETs. As the solution of k-hop minimum dominating set, our proposed aims to reduce number cluster-heads which are responsible maintaining cluster backbone. By considering intra connectivity, nodes with low communication reliability can join better clusters quality. We also prove relationship between intra-connectivity and remaining staying time one node in its current cluster. Based on that, intra-connection degree is taken into account when mobile chooses candidates joining. Next, apply technique decrease leaving frequency cluster-members. Finally, extensive performance evaluation verifies results under different system settings.
