摘要: Although dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) is widely used in clinical research as a means of quantifying body composition, there remains at present little published information that reviews the method's underlying physical basis. Because clear understanding DXA concepts integral to appropriate use and interpretation, we here three-section review includes both relevant vitro vivo experimental demonstrations. In first section describe main principles on which based. The follows presents step-by-step analysis two-component soft tissue model. final demonstrate how knowledge can lead resolution important methodological concerns, such influence hydration changes fat estimates. A thorough provides basis for interpretation measurement results stimulates many new questions.
