摘要: Abstract In several previous works the presence of urban solid wastes in feeding habits some animal species has been documented. This study was carried out to discover which visit a rubbish dump located an area Majella massif. Monthly nightime direct observations, from September 1990 May 1992, revealed dogs Canis [lupus] familiaris , domestic cats Felis [silvestris] catus wolves lupus and red foxes Vulpes vulpes . The fox most frequently observed species. Fox visits were distributed more continuously during entire period then other An "asymmetry analysis" find animals' favourite time use dump. analysis produced lag values 02:00 A.M. 05:00 A.M. wolf least. During monthly observations similar trend between cat came light. two also visited at times (wolf: 07:00-11:00 P.M.; cat: 05:00-10:00 P.M.). Dog less continuous comparison with species: no preferred revealed. Some environmental factors, related geographical management limited waste availability. probably had effect on animals.
