An Illumination Independent Face Verification Based on Gabor Wavelet and Supported Vector Machine

摘要: Face verification technology is widely used in the fields of public safety, e-commerce and so on. Due its characteristic insensitive to varied illumination, a new method about face with illumination invariant presented this paper based on gabor wavelet. First, ATICR do light preprocessing images. Second, certain wavelet filters, which are selected experiment inducing different gagor filter has not same effect verification, extract feature image, dimension succession reduced by Principal Component Analysis. At last, SVM classifiers modeled data dimension. The results IFACE database NIRFACE indicate algorithm named “Selected Paralleled Gabor Method” can achieves higher performance better adaptability variable illumination.
