摘要: Self-Rated Health (SRH) is becoming one of the most popular indicator population health. Nevertheless, a limited understanding still remains about elements to which individuals refer when evaluating their health and how those act interact in evaluation process. In this study we use structural equation model with latent variables identify direct indirect influences various dimensions (chronic morbidity, functional abilities emotional health) socio-demographic covariates (age, gender education) on poor SRH. The sample consists 25,183 Italian elderly aged 65 years over, interviewed 2005 National Interview Survey. results have pointed out higher effect psychological SRH, while total caused by chronic SRH both directly altering Growing older, being woman having low education negatively impacts However, almost completely result exerted covariates, not significant (gender), negative (age) or very modest (education).
