摘要: The evolution of Triassic reefs started with a long-lasting global crisis the metazoan reef ecosystem after Permian—Triassic mass extinction (about 12 Ma), followed by relatively rapid recovery during Middle Triassic. Reef systems were differentiated Upper but severely affected at Triassic—Jurasic boundary. present contribution is focused on biological controls reefs, particularly in Tethyan realm, and major changes ecosystems recorded differences types biota. term “reef” as used this chapter refers to bioconstructions characterized (1) control formation structure (predominantly sessile benthic organisms), (2) laterally restricted topographic relief, (3) (inferred) rigidity structure.
