摘要: The equations of motion are developed in a form appropriate to flow parallel uniformly sloping bottom. Some cases two-layer considered which the is concentrated lower layer, as overflow over submarine ridge. Whereas absence friction such currents would tend follow contours bottom, effect bottom deflect current downslope side contours. Numerical solutions show that some angle deflection might be large 30°, but most circumstances it probably less, order 5° or 10°. An indication given how theory may applied case density varying continuously with depth, real ocean. general conclusions, relevant interpretation observational data, drawn.
