摘要: AbstractThis paper formed part of a larger study, which aimed to evaluate the effectiveness an optics teaching module in enhancing Grade 11 learners’ conceptual understanding about optical phenomena. The reports on phenomenon, refraction. sample for this study constituted 70 learners from selected senior secondary school Mthatha District Eastern Cape Province South Africa. was chosen using convenient sampling technique. data collected three open-ended questions and analyzed qualitatively by developing common categories participants’ responses. findings revealed that experienced serious difficulties conceptualizing phenomenon Based findings, some recommendations regarding substantial revision current strategies were also made.
