摘要: Theoretical background to iontophoresis Background: Iontophoresis is a noninvasive technique for administering therapeutic ionic agents in which an electric current introduced provide controlled manner enhancing transdermal drug delivery. Objective: To present historical perspective and the principal theoretical involved iontophoresis, order stimulate physiotherapists use it more frequently their daily practice scientific investigation as well. Methods: This article was prepared review of literature relating iontophoresis. Results: Terms related instrumentation, delivery mechanisms, penetration estimation main factors that influence this are described. Conclusion: alternative delivering substances, thus ensuring concentration levels greater than by passive diffusion unassisted current, sufficient triggering desired effects.
