摘要: The aim of this article is to evaluate if the sectorial specialization exports and imports generates nonlinearities between degree openness an economy its per capita income. In other words, composition may change efficacy explain income differentials among countries. order address issue, paper applies a Panel Smooth Transition Model for 110 countries, following same procedure used by Frankel Romer (1999) avoid endogeneity problem. Results indicate that in countries where are specialized commodities, has less efficiency influence than others manufactured goods.
