摘要: Abstract The gilthead seabream is a protandrous hermaphrodite seasonal breeding teleost with bisexual gonad that offers an interesting model for studying the two first reproductive cycles (RCs), in which specimens develops as males. During RC (RC1), 11-ketotestosterone (11-KT) and testosterone (T), main androgens fish, play different specific roles testicular physiology they peak at stages of RC1. Moreover, profiles T serum levels during second (RC2) demonstrated this androgen not essential regression process occurs cycle. However, changes suggest 17β-estradiol (E 2 ) orchestrates both RCs. E recorded RC2 indicate there threshold level determines initiation ovarian development cycle without promoting complete feminization. We analysed triglyceride, protein, glucose lactate order to establish relationship between mobilization transfer nutrients, hormonal take place body composition, finding vivo metabolites change significantly throughout RCs, although physiological relevance such still unknown. Triglyceride seem be affected by beginning ovary but recrudescence might important sources energy resting involution stages.
