摘要: BACKGROUND/AIMS This is a non-randomized comparative trial designed to compare the results of pancreaticoduodenectomy with internal pancreatic stenting versus no for pancreaticojejunal (PJ) anastomosis after pancreaticoduodenectomy. METHODOLOGY Between January 1999 and March 2008, total 49 consecutive patients undergoing duct-to-mucosa PJ with, or without an stent were evaluated. RESULTS The 2 groups comparable in demographic data, underlying pathologies, stump condition. Four (16.7%) stented group, four (16%) non-stented group had fistula. There was significant difference fistula rate between two groups. No surgical reintervention necessary all fistulas. also differences operating time (mean, 270.5 minutes vs. 263.6 minutes), intra-operative blood loss 772.9 ml 665.3 ml), overall morbidity (45.8% 40%) hospital mortality (4.2% 4.0%). mean stay surgery 34 days 21.5 group. CONCLUSIONS Internal duct could not reduce
