摘要: Abstract A systematic study of densities and refractive indices 17 room temperature ionic liquids is presented at four different temperatures ranging from 293 K to 333 K. The are grouped into families: 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amide, [C n mim ][N tf 2 ], (with  = 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14); hexafluorophosphate, ][PF 6  = 4, 8); based on the trihexyl(tetradecyl)phosphonium cation, [P 14 combined with anions [N acetate, [O Ac triflate, Tf ]; 4 ]-based methylsulfate [ Me SO tetrafluoroborate [BF ]. data obtained were analysed determine effect (i) temperature, (ii) alkyl chain length (iii) nature anion. Different empirical models for calculation tested. Molar refractions also calculated volumetric index values discussed aim checking their utility in obtaining insights intermolecular forces behaviour solution liquids.
