摘要: This paper proposes a new motion compensation method using "sliced blocks" in hybrid video coding. In H.264, brand-new international coding standard, can be performed by splitting macroblocks into multiple square or rectangular regions. the proposed method, on other hand, sub-macroblocks are divided two regions (sliced blocks) an arbitrary line segment. The result is that shapes of segmented not limited to squares rectangles, allowing better match boundaries between moving objects. Thus, improve performance compensation. addition, adaptive prediction shape according region surrounding reduce overheads describe information bitstream. also has advantage conventional techniques such as mode decision rate-distortion optimization utilized, since processes frequency transform and quantization macroblock basis, similar methods. implemented H.264-based P-picture codec improvement bit rate 5% confirmed comparison with H.264.
