摘要: Increases in life expectancy and cardiovascular adverse events patients with hypertension highlight the need for new risk-reduction strategies to reduce burden of degenerative diseases. Among environmental factors, high salt consumption is currently considered most important risk factor hypertension. However, while intake significantly raises blood pressure some individuals, others do not show variation or even decrease their pressure. This heterogeneity respectively classified as sensitivity resistance. In this review, we propose a useful phenotype unravel mechanistic complexity primary The individual variability modification response changes derives from combination genetic determinants. random non determinants leads development personal index salt. those genes involved susceptibility are still completely identified, triggering mechanisms underlying following remain uncovered. One reason might be represented by absence specific protocol, universally followed, standard definition sensitivity. Another may linked common criteria patient recruitment during clinical studies. Thus, generation reliable approach proper recognition salt, through it identification novel therapeutic targets hypertension, should one aspirations scientific community.
