摘要: Pitting corrosion is a form of extremely localized attack resulting in rapid penetration into metal substrate, and one the most destructive insidious forms that occurs industrial systems. Traditionally, damage function, i.e., number pits versus pit depth, measured experimentally, development described using empirical models. In general, models are successful because distribution functions employed display great mathematical flexibility, but they require significant database to achieve reliability. fact, only really when answer known advance. this study, we developed deterministic method for predicting condensing heat exchangers. The incorporates calculations composition condensed environment electrochemical potential alloy, includes mechanistic treatments nucleation growth pits. role important environmental parameters identified, such as chloride concentration partial pressure oxygen. Good agreement observed between predicted experimental data.
