摘要: Manufacturing processes are responsible for a substantial part of the environmental impact products but still poorly documented in terms their footprint. The lack thorough analysis manufacturing has as consequence that optimization opportunities often not recognized and improved machine tool design ecological footprint only been targeted few common processes. At same time, trend can be observed towards more energy intensive, unconventional processing techniques. In order to address these shortcomings, worldwide consortium universities research institutes launched CO2PE!–Initiative. This initiative objective coordinate international efforts aiming document analyze overall wide range available emerging with respect direct indirect emissions, provide guidelines improve addition life cycle analysis, depth process also provides insight achievable reducing measures builders eco-design recommendations product developers. this paper, CO2PE!-Initiative is described along an overview case studies illustrate how CO2PE! methodology works.
