摘要: We review various methodologies as developed recently in our group for the production of carbon xerogel particles with a wide variety morphologies (from spherical to fractal-like) size range micro- nanoscale. To name few are sol–gel emulsification, electrospraying, electrospinning, and chemical vapor deposition. The role process parameters is studied length achieve fine tuning control on structures. A large number polymer precursors such organic xerogel, photoresist materials, polymers employed source carbon. Other than conventional photolithography, soft lithography biomimicking approaches used fabricate micropatterned surfaces which further hierarchical structures by combining top-down, bottom-up, self-assembly processes. Thus, fabricated due their unique properties controllable wettability, high surface area, biocompatibility open up new possibilities area carbon-based microelectrochemical systems, microfluidics, biosensors, environmental pollution control. more insight about some these applications presented this work.
