摘要: This chapter is a top level treatment of system considerations concerning high-contrast imaging coronagraphy from various approaches. Considerations include target properties and their effect on fundamental requirements such as resolution, bandpass contrast. I compare the advantages disadvantages observing ground, balloons, rockets, satellites. outline different methods starlight suppression presently being explored them based crucial performance metrics spatial chromatic response. present components for wavefront control techniques sensing. Finally, brief overview efforts that have been undertaken to implement these systems given.
