摘要: Animal behavior is an important aspect in the assessment of animal welfare. Passive infrared detectors (PID), detecting thermal changes to measure activity, have already been used record data on groups animals. Within this study, suitability these for collection activity profiles focused areas further investigated. The aim was a group eleven fattening pigs pen, as well five functional resting, feeding, drinking, exploration, and elimination. In order evaluate obtained, video recorded visual assessment. addition, relevant indoor environment parameters were (ammonia, air temperature, relative humidity). For measurement by PID, strong correlations from up r = 0.87 (p < 0.01) could be found compared results indicate that during day defined can using PIDs. These combined with climate-related sensors serve farmer monitoring tool early detection behavioral or partial within Weak Point Analysis external on-farm consulting.
