摘要: Nepal’s historically successful practice of community forestry has demonstrated the importance encouraging relevant stakeholder groups to participate in decision-making process and foster management use forest resources. Concerns over potential inequity policy construction can be mitigated by fully involving experts as well local users whose daily subsistence is heavily dependent on products. This study analyzes preferences conservation consideration three types Mid Hills region Nepal: Pinus roxburghii, Alnus nepalensis Schima-Castanopsis. All have distinct benefits for provision products improve economy livelihoods. Focus group discussions were conducted with both stakeholders identify later compare help analytic hierarchy through repeated pairwise comparisons. Overall, this finds that Schima-Castanopsis preferred type satisfying needs concerns experts. also addresses combining views order create a representative effective policy.
