摘要: The constant that measures the ability of a population to grow under given conditions is called intrinsic rate natural increase r. Malthusian m which measure genotypic on other hand has same mathematical formula as r but its biological characteristics are different except in isogenic populations. Genotypes with highest set favored by selection may result reduction for population. mechanism this process discussed and it concluded evolutionary reductions most likely have occurred density dependence conditions.(AUTHORS MODIFIED)
