摘要: Batch mode adsorption experiments have been conducted successfully for the removal of fluoride from polluted waters with nitric acid active carbon derived stems Acalypha indica plant (NAcIC). The effect various parameters such as pH, sorbent dosage, agitation time, initial concentration fluoride, temperature, particle size and presence foreign ions studied in detail optimized maximum extraction fluoride. Adsorption data modelled using Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin Dubinin-Radushkevich isotherms it has observed that Langmuir isotherm well describes experimental because RL highest R2 values. Further, mean free energy (E = 3.16 kJ/mol) heat sorption (B 0.210 J/mol) NAcIC indicates physisorption. kinetics is found to be pseudo-second order rate mechanism followed by pseudo-first order, intra diffusion, pore diffusion Elovich model. FTIR, SEM EDX studies confirm binding ability adsorbent. Field carried out fluoride-contaminated groundwater samples test suitability same methodology at field conditions remarkably successful.
