摘要: Abstract Governments at the state (and to a lesser extent, local) level in United States have adopted an array of policies promote wind and other types “green” energy, including solar, geothermal, low-impact hydropower, certain forms biomass. However, because different regulatory environments, energy resource endowments, political interests, factors, there is considerable variation among states their green power policies. This paper analyzes contribution development several state-level (renewable portfolio standards (RPS), fuel generation disclosure rules, mandatory options, public benefits funds), along with retail choice (RET) facilitated by electricity restructuring. The empirical results support existing anecdotal case studies finding positive relationship between RPS development. We also found that requiring suppliers provide options customers positively related while negative RET (i.e., allowing choose source).
