摘要: Background A number of small studies have suggested a relationship between vitamin D status and severe acute lower respiratory tract infection (ALRI), including RSV—bronchiolitis. The objective this study was to evaluate the receptor (VDR) polymorphism RSV-bronchiolitis through systemic literature review meta-analysis. Methods A comprehensive electronic search conducted identify all published before January 2013. Two reviewers independently screened abstracts, followed by full text potential articles eligibility. Study methodological quality evaluated using Newcastle Ottawa scale individual component analysis. Meta-analysis associations at allele genotype levels. Results Of 803 identified from our search, three met eligibility criteria. VDR polymorphisms were included in more than one study: TaqI (rs731236) FokI (rs2228570). All reported positive minor disease with random effects meta-analyses demonstrating statistically significant (OR 1.52, CI: 1.12, 2.05). Genotype analysis highly suggestive dominant or incomplete dominance model combined odds ratios for fF 1.73, 0.92–3.36) ff 2.24, 0.98–5.14) compared FF genotype. No association evident level. Conclusions Available supports an RSV disease. Determination could help predict high-risk infants who might benefit preventive measures.
