摘要: Background The ability to achieve optimal glycaemic control varies widely among individuals with type 1 diabetes. present study aimed explore the factors that are associated compared suboptimal control. Methods An observational design was used association of various Surveys were completed by who attended diabetes clinic at a tertiary hospital in New South Wales (NSW), Australia. Clinical and demographic information attendance dietary review also collected. Results One hundred three survey. Those [glycated haemoglobin ≤7.0% (53 mmol mol-1 )] had significantly shorter mean (SD) duration [10.1 (12.6) years versus 18.8 (12.8) years, P = 0.005), less likely omit basal bolus insulin (18.2% 47.5%, 0.016; 36.4% 61.8%, 0.034, respectively), report low confidence managing their (9.1% 35.4%, 0.017). Participants able identify carbohydrate sources more have past 12 months (60.5% 20.0%, 0.001). However, they not better Conclusions identified consistency taking self-management found between recent knowledge, although this did translate into Future investigation application knowledge is required.
