A Compilation of Olivine and Low-Ca Pyroxene Compositions in Type 4-6 Ordinary Chondrites

摘要: The major element compositions of olivine and lowCa pyroxene in type 4-6 ordinary chondrites have been used for some time to determine the classification into H, L LL groups as well identify trends within each group that may be related conditions under which metamorphism occurred. This paper presents a compilation update two main discriminatory plots (Fs low-Ca vs. Fa olivine, Wo Fs pyroxene) describe variation chemistry silicate minerals chondrites. Data sources are from references [1-35].
