摘要: Aims:  A recent study that evaluated 22 methods for enumerating faecal indicator bacteria in sand recommended standardization to a preferred method, but all researchers involved had extensive experience processing samples. The purpose of this was evaluate how well the method can be transferred laboratories without such experience. Methods and Results:  Eight southern California rarely measure processed six three water samples replicates assess repeatability. Among-laboratory variability found less than within-laboratory variability, with no significant differences results among any laboratories. Moreover, comparable between samples, indicating elution procedure added little additional error even when performed by prior experience. Conclusions:  simple extraction Enterococcus beach sands easily transferable repeatable or experience. Significance Impact Study:  demonstrated success technology transfer will further demonstrate adoption, aiding understanding affect surface quality.
