Enhanced dielectric properties of polyethylene glycol (PEG) modified BaTiO3 (BT)-poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) composites

摘要: To improve the compatibility between ceramic particle and polymer matrix, surface modifier polyethylene glycol (PEG) was used for modification of BaTiO3 (BT) particles as fillers in poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) matrix via solution casting techniques. The structural analysis composite characterized by X-ray diffraction confirms tetragonal structure. results showed that PEG modified BT-PVDF composites had a higher dielectric constant (≈192) relatively lower loss value at 1000 Hz. Nyquist plot suggests contribution only bulk effect present composites. AC electrical conductivity studies obey Jonscher’s universal power law fitting data which reveals potential utility ideal capacitor microscopic reasons this improvement were presented.
