摘要: In natural populations, the large changes in chromosomal structure occurring through inversions show pronounced variations frequency that often correspond to temporal and spatial climatic trends, which suggests they may be employed monitor impact of global warming. Here we review update evidence on association between climate D. subobscura, provides one best studied models this con- text. Chromosomal inversion frequencies subobscura populations vary predictably with lati- tude, has evolved independently Europe South North America. They also exhibit clear seasonal trends are consistent temperature fluctuations. More importantly, latitudinal clines seem responding rise mean temperatures all continents. We analyze relevance these results light change, discuss how a better understanding mechanisms underlying patterns contribute our knowledge impacts warming biological systems.
