摘要: Oxidized low-density lipoprotein (Ox-LDL) has been studied for over 25 years. Numerous pro- and anti-atherogenic properties have attributed to Ox-LDL. Yet, Ox-LDL neither defined nor characterized, as its components composition change depending on source, method of preparation, storage, use. It contains unoxidized oxidized fatty acid derivatives both in the ester free forms, their decomposition products, cholesterol proteins with amino acids cross-links, polypeptides varying extents covalent modification lipid oxidation many others. seems exist vivo some form not yet fully characterized. Until pathophysiological significance, how it is generated are determined, nature true identity will be only classical interest. In this review, components, biological actions methods preparation discussed.
